The Hague, 13 June 2024 – Netrouting, enterprise colocation services provider, celebrated on Sunday 13th of June 2024 the founder’s birthday. In 2007 Savvas Bout started Netrouting in a small room of his parents’ house when he was only 18 years old. “ 2024 marks a significant milestone in our history as we blow out 17 birthday candles and celebrate our rise and successes since our humble beginnings”, said Savvas Bout, founder and CEO of Netrouting.
What started off as building servers from scratch, providing traditional dedicated servers and web hosting services, evolved as Netrouting continued to grow into a niche-oriented company, determining its course to differentiate itself from the rapid changes of the hosting industry.
By 2011 Netrouting was present in Amsterdam, Schiphol, Rotterdam and Stockholm (Sweden) and Miami (Florida, USA). In 2011 we also started to deliver virtual server (VPS) for our customers. In 2012 we incorporated the brand Data Facilities and acquired one of the Datahouse facilities in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. In 2014 we added another location in The Hague. In the period between 2014 and 2018 Netrouting also established locations in Frankfurt, Bucharest and Hong Kong.
In 2018, Netrouting and its affiliated subsidiaries were acquired by U.S.-based data center operator Colohouse. Savvas Bout joined Colohouse as CTO, supporting the company in its growth and innovation with a strong focus on the U.S. market. In 2023, Savvas Bout acquired the European division of Colohouse, including the former Netrouting assets, and separated from the group. It marked a new chapter in the history of Netrouting, setting the stage for exciting developments in the years ahead.
“I have immense pride in what we have accomplished and how far Netrouting has come in this highly competitive market. We have maintained the same entrepreneurial spirit, core values, and customer focus since starting this journey. We are committed to continuing to invest in our services, infrastructure, and partnerships with major technology companies,” concluded Bout.
“As we celebrate our 17th anniversary, I’m proud to announce plans for a complete infrastructure upgrade for our network and data center. It includes the immediate release of our new website, which features added bare metal inventory and new cloud computing plans. Stay tuned for more announcements in the coming period as we are just getting started,” added Bout.
