Why our transit

Internet Port & IP Transit, DDoS-protected by default

Netrouting's Internet Access services provide the best possible connectivity solutions for companies and organizations of any kind and size. Netrouting's high-quality Internet access connections are available 24/7 and run around the clock. Our Internet Access services are highly flexible and scalable. They grow with your company and its needs. We offer the right amount of bandwidth and connections for your applications such as your website, your cloud services, your mail services and many more.

Every Internet Port and IP Transit circuit is DDoS-protected, always on, no upcharge. Volumetric scrubbing engages automatically at the network edge, well above any single transit link's capacity, so customers are protected from amplification attacks measured in hundreds of Gbps without lifting a finger. Combined with multi-carrier transit diversity and direct peering at the major IXPs, your traffic stays online during attacks that would knock single-homed networks offline.

What is included

Every transit port, every IP, by default

  • Multi-carrier Tier-1 Blended transit pulls from multiple Tier-1 carriers, so a single carrier's outage or de-peering event never takes you offline.
  • Always-on DDoS scrubbing Volumetric and protocol-layer attacks are absorbed at the edge before they hit your port. Included on every transit IP.
  • RPKI-signed announcements Route origin validation on every prefix we originate. Members of RIPE NCC, ARIN and APNIC, direct registry resources, no broker intermediaries.
  • BGP & BYOIP Bring your own IP space and ASN, we'll establish BGP sessions, validate your routes, and announce your prefixes from our edge.

Blended IP Transit

Best-effort, multi-carrier blended transit

For hosting, gaming, streaming, and SaaS workloads where 95th-percentile commit pricing makes sense. We blend multiple Tier-1 sources at the edge so you never depend on a single upstream.

  • Multi-carrier Tier-1 transit (no single-homed dependency)
  • Direct peering at AMS-IX, DE-CIX, LINX, NL-IX
  • BGP sessions, BYOIP and ASN announcement supported
  • 1G to 100G handoffs available

Dedicated Internet Access

DIA, guaranteed bandwidth, hard SLA

Workload has flat-rate guaranteed throughput requirements. DIA contract guarantees full committed capacity (bidirectional) including packet loss and latency targets as opposed to simple up/down monitoring.

  • Committed information rate from 100 Mbps to 100 Gbps
  • Latency, jitter and packet-loss SLAs in the contract
  • Auto-credits when targets are missed (no claim form)
  • Always-on DDoS scrubbing on every IP, included

Built for production

Why teams stay with Netrouting

We connect you to the Internet using network engineers (and not order takers) and hardware and infrastructure that is built to last, so we can pick up where you left off when you need us.

  • Expert-Level Support Our staff is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to handle network administration and systems management issues as they occur.
  • Scalable Solutions Build whatever depth or breadth your infrastructure needs and then scale as required.
  • Enhanced Security Enable 2-factor authentication and also limit by IP address from the control panel to secure your account.
  • Cost-Efficient Infrastructure You will always receive the best value from your investment as you will be optimized for budget without any compromise on Quality.

Common questions

IP Transit FAQ

  • Is your IP transit blended, or do I get to choose carriers?

We distribute our routes in the Internet using a blended Tier-1 IP transit environment. This environment contains routes from all Tier-1 providers such as Lumen, GTT, NTT, Telia, RETN, Hurricane Electric, Cogent, AT&T. The actual set of providers used for announcing your prefixes to the Internet can vary per PoP (location). We can also configure the environment to not use a specific set of providers, if required by local laws and/or by specific customers. We support BGP community-based steering. Please let the engineering team know which community-list you would like to have on-boarded.

  • Is there an option to get IP transit service without any servers from Netrouting?

We can cross connect your equipment in our data centers around the world and we will set up an eBGP session for you. Our pure-transit pricing is for per Mbps committed with an overage allowance or a flat port price for 10G or 100G full handoffs. We do not require you to purchase colocation or hosting, as most customers do end up purchasing these services as well (as the cross-sell math is so much better for us).

  • What's in your BGP community list?

Standard BGP communities that we publish at AS6206.net are: * geographic-region selectors (e.g. no_export for a specific region) * AS-path manipulations (e.g. prepend) * a blackhole community that can be used for an emergency null-route of your own prefixes while under attack. A full community-list documentation is included in your technical pack as soon as you have signed a contract with Netrouting.

  • How do you handle RPKI-invalid route announcements?

RPKI-invalid route announcements are dropped at the edge of our network. We follow best practices for IP-transit in the European market and dropping RPKI-invalid prefixes in the routing table is a hard requirement to protect our customers from prefix hijacking. We strongly recommend that customers announce prefixes with valid RPKI validation before announcing via Netrouting. Announcing an RPKI-invalid prefix by mistake will result in the announcement being dropped by the edge of our network and a ticket automatically being created in the customer's portal for investigation and resolution.
