As we approach the end of May and take a look back at the first quarter of 2023, we find ourselves reflecting on a transformative period here at Netrouting. During these few months, we have accomplished a series of milestones that have been instrumental in shaping the trajectory of our company. We’d like to take this opportunity to share these significant developments with you.
Operationalizing the business
The year kicked off with an ambitious endeavor: the operational separation of our business from Colohouse. We initiated this process with a targeted focus on HR and billing systems. Our team has skillfully migrated operational assets to new internal systems, established new standards for infrastructure monitoring, and launched a new 24x7x365 service desk. Additionally, we have successfully separated our U.S. and EU billing systems, marking a major step forward in our operational realignment.
Rebranding our Netherlands Data Center
Our external growth was just as dynamic, with the rebranding of our Netherlands-based data center leading the way. This marked the debut of our DFDC (Data Facilities Data Centers) brand, with our flagship carrier-neutral facility in The Hague proudly wearing these new colors.
Infrastructure changes and lifecycle maintenance
We took a big step forward in growing our presence around the world by teaming up with Equinix in Stockholm. This partnership allowed us to bring together three separate data centers into one strong hub, which led to a major overhaul and update of our network and bare metal infrastructure in the area.
Following our global network lifecycle maintenance program, we replaced our entire network infrastructure in Hong Kong. With the help of our partners, Lumen and PCCW, we now offer top-tier connectivity in the local market.
Over 200 new dedicated servers available for immediate deployment
Hardware upgrades have also been a significant focus, with new bare metal infrastructure being installed across all our key locations. We have added Xeon E5-2600 v4 series, Silver and Gold series servers, boasting up to 2 terabyte of RAM, to our portfolio. These advanced servers are ready for immediate deployment in Amsterdam, Hong Kong, and Miami, and will soon be made available at all of our locations.
Our Plans and Expectations for Q2
As we move into Q2 we have increased the size of the billing and networking teams with some new talent. These new team members will play a crucial role in the continued growth of the company.
We are also busy resolving all unlinked Colohouse’s U.S. locations from our Netrouting international backbone. Additionally we are still busy with the maintenance of the network lifecycle in locations as Bucharest and Frankfurt.
The New Website
Our newly redesigned website and online shopping experience is due to launch in the next few weeks, providing customers with a user-friendly platform to explore our expanded product and service portfolio.
